Metal surface grinding machine
The LOEWER DiscMaster4TD is a high-performance grinding and edge processing machine with rotating discs, designed for deburring, edge rounding, oxide removal and finishing in a single pass. Its unique technology, combining continuous rotation and sharp disc oscillation, ensures a uniform 360° result on the inner and outer edges of each piece, regardless of its direction or shape.
Main features
- Four cylindrical discs (two at the inlet and two at the outlet), which oscillate and rotate over the transported workpiece for complete processing from all sides.
- Continuous deburring and rounding processing in a single pass, reducing cycle time and increasing productivity.
- Uniform tool wear regardless of the size or position of the workpiece on the conveyor belt.
- Wide range of spare discs and abrasive materials, allowing adaptation to different materials — such as steel, stainless steel and aluminum — as well as different finishing requirements.
Technology
The DiscMaster4TD technology is based on a quadruple of discs that move horizontally and oscillate along the full width of the conveyor belt, achieving 360° access to all internal/external edges and geometries in one pass. The balance between rotation and oscillation leads to a consistent finish without intense forces on the part, reducing the risk of deformation.
The machine can be equipped with special tools for oxide cleaning, spark/spark removal or the production of non-directional orbital finishes, offering flexibility in applications with different requirements.
Scope of application
The DiscMaster4TD is suitable for:
- deburring and rounding after laser, plasma or waterjet cutting, as well as drilling/stamping.
- processing of 3D drilled parts with complex geometries.
- removal of oxides and surface layer interferences on sheet metal or components.
- non-directional finishing for high-quality appearance and improved preparation before painting or welding.
